Trip description

Mountainous Adjara reveals itself through contrasts—the sound of water and the silence of old fortresses, the ancient stonework of a bridge and the lively conversation at the table. This is a journey in which nature, history, and culture come together to form a coherent picture. No pretense. No decorations. Simply Georgia.

Features
What awaits you

9:00 AM — Departure from Batumi

9:40 AM–10:10 AM — Observation Deck. The place where the Chorokhi and Adjaristskali rivers join is almost sacred. Despite the different colors and natures of the waters, they flow toward a common stream. Like a fusion of meanings and the meeting of two stories.

10:30 AM–11:30 AM — Makhuntseti Waterfall. It falls with such force, as if the mountains were telling an ancient legend in their own language. The water washes away all unnecessary debris.

12:00 PM–12:40 PM — Queen Tamar Bridge. There is no mortar here, only stone and craftsmanship. For almost a thousand years, not a single flood or earthquake has disturbed its curve. This arch is an engineering feat that perfectly distributes the load. It seems to support not only the weight but also time.

1:00 PM–2:00 PM — Gvara Fortress. An atmospheric 10th-12th century fortress, built during the heyday of the Georgian kingdom. Today, it boasts picturesque ruins and a stunning view.

2:30 PM–5:00 PM — Evening in a Georgian home with a folklore program. You’re not a traveler—you’re a guest. Almost like family. In this home, every object is part of the family’s history, and toasts are remembered longer than the dishes. A theatrical dinner with songs, dances, and authentic Adjarian cuisine awaits you.

6:30 PM–7:30 PM — Return to Batumi

We’ll talk about nature, history, everyday life, and the traditions of the Adjarian people. We’ll also discuss hospitality and the importance of toasts in Georgian culture. And we won’t forget the dishes and wines of Adjara.
